This issue prevents the minors from experiencing a healthy development and a good academic performance.
To help reduce this problem, a food supply is delivered monthly to the beneficiaries with basic nutritional products, which are granted by the Municipal DIF (National System for the Development of the Families). Talks and nutrition courses are also given in by a specialist in the social work area. These are followed-up with periodic medical check-ups, in which height and weight of the minors are recorded. The registration of the beneficiary families in the Seguro Popular (national free medical care) is also sought-out.
